How it works

See how it all works.

DulyKnotted is wedding planner software for professional planners. Each wedding gets its own email address. You forward vendor emails there, the AI pulls out what each vendor promised, and you check it before it goes on the record. Around that sits the full workspace: budget, payments, the day-of timeline, guests, seating, the couple portal, a wedding website and proposals. Each part is explained below with a short video, three steps and a transcript.

Here's a week of wedding planning in DulyKnotted, one day at a time. Every wedding has its own email address. When a vendor writes, you forward it there. DulyKnotted reads the email, and pulls out the total, the deposit, arrival times and questions. On Review, you check each fact before it goes on the record. Add one, or the whole email at once. Today shows what needs you. Facts to review, vendors not confirmed, and payments due. The budget tracks estimated, contracted and paid, by category. Payments coming up are listed by due date, on every wedding. The day-of timeline stays in time order. Mark what the couple sees, and print it for the day. Guests, RSVPs, meals and dietary notes live in one list. The seating chart counts meals and dietary notes at every table, ready to print. Couples get their own portal with your logo. Vendors, payments, the timeline and their to-do list. And the wedding website takes RSVPs from guests. That's one week. Every wedding, in one place. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Chapter 1

Your inbox does the filing

Vendors keep emailing you. Forward it in, and DulyKnotted reads it and keeps the record for you to check.

Chapter 2

Running each wedding

The money and the day-of plan, each kept in one place.

Chapter 3

Guests and the couple

Who is coming, where they sit, and what the couple sees.

Chapter 4

Your business

From first inquiry to a booked wedding, moving your lists over, and running a team.

Chapter 1

Your inbox does the filing

Vendors keep emailing you. Forward it in, and DulyKnotted reads it and keeps the record for you to check.

Feature 02

Forward it. We file it.

Forward a vendor email to the wedding's own address, and DulyKnotted pulls out the totals, deposits, arrival times, promises and questions for you to check.

Every wedding gets its own forwarding address. Forward a vendor's email there and DulyKnotted reads it, pulling out totals, deposits and due dates, arrival times, promises and the questions the vendor asked. Nothing goes on the record until you review it: add one fact at a time, or everything from an email in one click. Filed promises and open questions then show on the wedding's Overview, grouped by vendor, and Today shows what still needs you.

Why it matters. Nothing gets filed until you check it, and nothing stays buried in a thread.

How it works

  1. Forward the vendor's email to the wedding's address.
  2. Check what it found on the Review page.
  3. Add one fact, or the whole email in one click.
Read the transcript

Still copying vendor emails into a spreadsheet? Stop. Forward them instead. Every wedding in DulyKnotted gets its own email address. A vendor writes you? Forward it there. DulyKnotted reads the whole thing. The total. The deposit. The arrival time. The question they asked. Nothing gets filed until you check it. Add one fact. Or the whole email, in one click. Promises and open questions land on the wedding, sorted by vendor. And your Today page shows what needs you. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Feature 03

Today: what needs you

Today is the page you open every morning: facts waiting for your check, open vendor questions, payments due, and what the reader did with your vendor email.

Today is the first page you see after signing in. Needs you counts what is waiting on you: facts the reader was not sure enough to file on its own, open vendor questions, and payments that are overdue or due this week, and each line opens the work itself. What the reader did lists every vendor message it went through and whether it filed the facts or left them for your review. Below that are the weddings coming up, payments due soon and this week's tasks.

Why it matters. One page to start the day, so nothing slips.

How it works

  1. Sign in and land on Today.
  2. Work down Needs you: facts to review, open questions, payments due.
  3. Click any line to open the work itself.

What needs you today? Today puts it on one page. Sign in, and you land on Today. A new studio gets a short checklist that checks itself off. Next is Needs you. Facts waiting in Review. Open vendor questions. Payments overdue, or due this week. Each line is a link. Click one, and you're on the work itself. What the reader did lists each vendor message it read, and what it filed or left for you to check. Below that: weddings coming up, payments due soon, and this week's tasks. One page to start the day, so nothing slips. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Feature 04

Never lose a vendor promise

Every promise a vendor makes and every question they ask is filed on the wedding, under that vendor, until you mark it answered.

When the reader finds a promise or a question in a vendor's email and you add it to the record, it lands on the wedding's Overview under that vendor. Questions from the same email thread that ask the same thing different ways fold into one row, with the other wordings one click away. Reply to the vendor however you usually do, then mark one question answered or clear a vendor's whole list at once. The Questions page shows every open question across all your weddings.

Why it matters. Every promise and question stays on the record, not buried in your inbox.

How it works

  1. Add a vendor's promises and questions from Review.
  2. See them on the wedding's Overview, grouped by vendor.
  3. Mark questions answered once you have replied.
Read the transcript

A vendor promised something by email. Where does it live now? Open the wedding. What vendors promised lists every promise you filed, under the vendor who made it. Each one is in the vendor's own words, like the florist's setup window. Open questions sit right next to them, grouped by vendor. The caterer asked for the guest count three ways in one thread. It folds into one row. Click to see each version. Once you've replied, click Mark all answered, and that vendor's list clears. The Questions page puts open questions from every wedding in one place. Mark each one answered as you go. Every promise and question stays on the record, not buried in your inbox. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Chapter 2

Running each wedding

The money and the day-of plan, each kept in one place.

Feature 05

Budget and payments

Each wedding's Budget tab shows targets, estimates, contracted amounts and payments due, fills in from vendor email you approve, and lets you choose what the couple sees.

The Budget tab keeps each wedding's budget, per-category targets, estimates, contracted amounts and payments in one table, and flags any category where the estimate runs over its target. Totals, deposits and payments the reader finds in vendor email wait under "Quoted, not yet added" until you approve them on Review; then they fill in the budget and the payment schedule. Mark a payment paid when it is paid. You choose which lines the couple sees, and which people on the portal can see the budget and payments at all.

Why it matters. The numbers live in one place, and you decide who sees them.

How it works

  1. Set a target for each budget category.
  2. Approve quotes from vendor email on Review.
  3. Mark payments paid, and choose what the couple sees.
Read the transcript

Where does the money stand on this wedding? Check the Budget tab. Open the wedding and click Budget. Up top: the budget, the estimate, what's contracted, and what's paid. Give each category a target. Type an amount and click Set. If the estimate runs over, it tells you by how much. Quotes the reader found in vendor email wait here, until you approve them on Review. Add the florist's email from Review, and her total lands in the budget as contracted. The payment schedule lists each deposit and balance by due date. When one is paid, click Mark paid. The eye column sets which lines the couple sees. On the Couple tab, choose who sees the budget at all. Emma sees Budget and Payments in her portal. Her mom, Linda, doesn't get those tabs at all. The numbers live in one place, and you decide who sees them. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Feature 06

The day-of timeline

Start the day-of timeline from the ceremony time, put booked vendors on their rows, adjust any time, then share a private link (everything, the couple's part, or one vendor's) that prints with your studio's name.

The Timeline tab starts from a typical ceremony day: 13 items from getting ready to the send-off, timed from the ceremony time you type, with booked vendors placed on the rows that fit them. Change any time and the list re-sorts itself; Link booked vendors adds vendors you book later. Share makes a private link to everything, only what the couple sees, or one vendor's items with the ceremony, and whoever opens it can print it with your studio's name on top.

Why it matters. One timeline, and everyone gets the part they need.

How it works

  1. Type the ceremony time and start from the template.
  2. Adjust any time. Booked vendors join their rows.
  3. Share a private link: everything, the couple's part, or one vendor's.
Read the transcript

Building a day-of timeline? Start from the ceremony time. Open the wedding and click Timeline. Type the ceremony time, and click Start from a template. You get thirteen items, from getting ready to the send-off, timed around the ceremony. Booked vendors land on their rows. Book another vendor later? Click Link booked vendors, and they join the rows that fit. To move something, change its time and click Set. The list stays in time order. To share it, make a private link. Everything, just the couple's items, or one vendor's items with the ceremony. Here's the photographer's link. Their items, and the ceremony. Any version prints with your studio's name on top. One timeline, and everyone gets the part they need. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Chapter 3

Guests and the couple

Who is coming, where they sit, and what the couple sees.

Feature 07

Guests and seating

Paste your guest list straight from a spreadsheet, keep households together, place tables on a floor plan, seat everyone in one click, and print the seating chart.

The Guests tab holds the guest list, grouped into parties, with RSVP, meal, dietary notes and table for each guest. Paste a list straight from a spreadsheet; when it has a header row, DulyKnotted matches each column for you to check before anything is added. The floor plan lets you place round, long and head tables to scale and set their seats, and Seat everyone fills the open seats party by party without splitting anyone up. The seating chart prints with every guest's meal.

Why it matters. One guest list, from the first paste to the printed chart.

How it works

  1. Paste the guest list from a spreadsheet.
  2. Place tables on the floor plan.
  3. Click Seat everyone, then print the chart.
Read the transcript

Got a guest list in a spreadsheet? Here's how it gets to the tables. Open the wedding and click Guests. You see who's invited, who's coming, and who hasn't answered. Copy your list from the spreadsheet and paste it in, header row and all. DulyKnotted reads the headers and matches each column. Household becomes the party. Click Add guests. Every household stays together as one party. Now open the floor plan. Click the head table and set its seats. Pick the wedding party, and they're seated together. Need another table? Add a round and drag it into place. Then click Seat everyone. Parties fill the open seats, and a party is never split up. Print the seating chart, with every guest's meal, for the venue and the caterer. One guest list, from the first paste to the printed chart. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Feature 08

The couple portal

Invite the couple and anyone helping plan to a portal in your studio's name, decide who sees the budget, message them in one thread, and preview exactly what they see.

Each wedding gets its own portal in your studio's name. Add the couple, parents and anyone helping plan, invite them by email, and see who has signed in. The budget switch decides, person by person, who sees the budget and payments. Couples see their timeline, vendors, to-dos, guest list and a message thread with you (photos and PDFs included), and Preview as the couple shows you their view without changing anything.

Why it matters. Your couple stays in the loop, and you decide what they see.

How it works

  1. Add the couple and anyone helping plan.
  2. Choose who sees the budget, then send invites.
  3. Message them, and preview what they see.
Read the transcript

What does your couple see when they sign in? Here's the couple portal. Open the wedding and click Couple. Everyone who can sign in is listed, with where their invite stands. Add a person with their name, email and role. The budget switch decides who sees the money. Click Invite, and they get a sign-in link by email. Write to the couple right here, and attach photos or PDFs. Everyone on the portal sees the thread. Each person signs in with their own email, by link, password, or Google. They land on a home page in your studio's name, with a countdown, what's coming up, and payments due. They see the timeline for the day, and the budget, if you allow it. Your message is there too, with the file attached. A parent without the budget switch never sees Budget or Payments. Want to check what they see? Click Preview as the couple. It's read only, so nothing changes. Your couple stays in the loop, and you decide what they see. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Feature 09

The wedding website and RSVPs

Publish a guest website for each wedding, put its link and QR code on the invitations, and watch RSVPs land on the guest list with meals and dietary notes.

Every wedding comes with a guest website you publish from the Event site tab, with the couple's story, the day, travel details and registry links, in one of three looks. You get a ready line and a QR code for the invitations. Guests RSVP by typing their name; they only ever see their own party, and they answer for each person with a meal and any dietary note. Replies land on the Guests tab right away.

Why it matters. One link on the invitation, and every reply comes back to you.

How it works

  1. Publish the site from the Event site tab.
  2. Put the link and QR code on the invitations.
  3. RSVPs land on the guest list with meals and notes.
Read the transcript

Every wedding comes with a website for the guests. Here's how it works, RSVPs included. Open the wedding and click Event site. The site stays private until you publish it. Click Publish. You get a line for the invitations, and a QR code that opens the site. Pick a look: Classic, Garden, or Modern. Your studio color carries through. Guests see the couple's story, the day, travel, and the registry links. To RSVP, a guest types their name and finds their own party. They never see the rest of the list. They answer for each person, pick a meal, and note any allergies. Send, and they're done. The reply lands in Guests right away, with the meal and the note. And the Event site tab keeps a running count of who's coming and what they're eating. One link on the invitation, and every reply comes back to you. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Chapter 4

Your business

From first inquiry to a booked wedding, moving your lists over, and running a team.

Feature 10

From inquiry to proposal

Inquiries land on a Leads board, a proposal drafts from the lead and your packages, the couple accepts from a private link, and booking turns the lead into a wedding.

Couples fill in your inquiry form, or you forward an inquiry from The Knot, WeddingWire or Zola, and each one becomes a lead on your Leads board. From a lead, start a proposal that drafts an introduction from their details and adds your packages, then share a private link. The couple reads and accepts it on a page in your studio's name, and you get an email when they do; no payment is taken. Book the wedding and the lead's details carry over. Contracts with e-signature are coming next.

Why it matters. From first hello to a booked wedding, in one place.

How it works

  1. An inquiry lands on your Leads board.
  2. Draft a proposal from the lead and your packages.
  3. The couple accepts, and you book the wedding.
Read the transcript

A couple fills in your inquiry form. Here's what happens next. Your inquiry form is a page in your studio's name. Couples share the date, venue, guest count, budget, and a note. Each inquiry lands on your Leads board as a new lead, and you get an email. Inquiries you forward from The Knot, WeddingWire, or Zola become leads too. Open the lead to see everything they told you. Then click New proposal. Click Draft. DulyKnotted writes an introduction with their date and venue, and adds your first package. Change the lines or add another package. The total updates when you save. Click Save and get share link. Copy the link and send it yourself. Your couple opens a clean proposal in your studio's name. They click Accept, and you get an email right away. No payment is taken. The lead moves to Proposal sent. Click Book this wedding, and their details carry over. From first hello to a booked wedding, in one place. Contracts with e-signature are coming next. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Feature 11

Switching takes an afternoon

Bring your guest lists and vendor lists over from Aisle Planner, HoneyBook, Planning Pod or any spreadsheet, and check a preview before anything is saved.

Import reads a spreadsheet export from Aisle Planner, HoneyBook, Planning Pod or any CSV, or rows pasted straight from a spreadsheet. You pick the wedding and what the file holds (guests, budget, vendors or tasks), and DulyKnotted shows how it read each column, every row it will add, and every row it will skip and why. Nothing is saved until you click Import. Older vendor email can be forwarded to the wedding's address, where it is read and filed for you to review.

Why it matters. The weddings you are already planning move over in an afternoon.

How it works

  1. Pick the wedding and choose the export file.
  2. Check the preview: every row, and what gets skipped.
  3. Click Import, then forward old vendor emails.
Read the transcript

Switching from another planning tool? Here's how your lists come with you. Open Import. Pick the wedding, and what's in the file. Then choose the export. This guest list came from Aisle Planner. Click Preview. Nothing is saved yet. DulyKnotted recognizes the format, and shows how each column maps. You see every row before it goes in. Duplicates and rows with no name are skipped, and it tells you why. Looks right? Click Import. The guests land on the wedding, with parties, meals, dietary notes and tables. A vendor list from HoneyBook works the same way. Vendors you already have are skipped. Import, and each vendor gets a card on the wedding. Old vendor emails? Forward them to the wedding's address. DulyKnotted reads them, and builds each vendor's record for you to review. So the weddings you're already planning move over in an afternoon. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Feature 12

Your team, your brand

Invite your assistant and choose which weddings they see, then put your logo and colors on everything couples get from you.

On the Team page you invite people by email as a planner, an assistant or view only. Anyone other than the owner can see every wedding or only the weddings assigned to them, and you assign weddings from the same table. Under Settings, Brand, you upload your logo and pick two colors; couples see them on their portal, the emails they get from you and the wedding website, and a live preview shows the portal invite exactly as couples receive it.

Why it matters. Your team sees what they need, and couples see your studio.

How it works

  1. Invite people as planner, assistant or view only.
  2. Assign the weddings each person sees.
  3. Upload your logo and pick your colors.
Read the transcript

Adding someone to your studio, or putting your own brand in front of couples? Here's how. On Team, enter their email and pick a role. Planner, assistant, or view only. Send the invite, and they show up on the list. Each person sees every wedding, or only the weddings assigned to them. Jess is set to assigned only. Pick a wedding, and click Assign. When Jess signs in, she sees just those two weddings. In Settings, under Brand, upload your logo. Pick your main color and an accent. Buttons and links adjust so white text stays readable. Below, a preview shows the exact portal invite your couples get. Couples see your logo and colors on their portal, their emails, and the wedding website, at your studio's own address. So your team sees what they need, and couples see your studio. Your first wedding is free. No card needed. Start free at dulyknotted.com.

Questions

Good questions.

Do my vendors have to sign up for anything?

No. Vendors keep emailing you the way they do now. You forward it in, and the record updates once you check it.

How can you read my emails?

We never log in to your inbox. Each wedding gets its own forwarding address, so you forward a vendor email there and it gets read and filed. Only what you choose to send in is ever read.

What if the AI gets a number wrong?

Every detail links back to the message it came from, so you can check it in one click. Nothing touches the record until you add it from Review.

What counts as an active wedding?

A wedding is active from the day its contract is signed until 30 days after the wedding date. Leads and proposals never count. If you go over your plan's limit, you move up a plan at your next bill. You are never locked out of adding a wedding.

Is my clients' information safe?

Couples only see their own wedding. You can export or delete your data any time.
